MIGRANTS TO UNITED STATES
BILL TO INCREASE QUOTAS

Washington, February 6.
The Immigration Bill has been introduced in the Senate, with the approval of the Secretary for Labour, Mr. J. f. Davis, under’which the quotas from Britain and Northern Ireland will be more-than doubled, and a net increase of 39,927 immisrrants over those of 1927 will be allowed. The total for 1927 was 317,727.
