Mr. C. Jennings, late secretary of the Pahiatua Bowling Club, a position which he has ably filled for the past six years, was farewelled on Saturday, and presented with a handsome clock, suitably engraved. There was a large gathering of bowlers, over which the president of the chib (Mr. 11. McSherry) presided, and manv complimentary references were made to the manner in which Mr. Jennings carried out his secretarial duties. Mr. Jennings has purchased a farm at Makuri.
