ELECTRICITY SHORTAGE

FEILDING STATION RECOMMISSIONED.

Feildinq, February 6.

The Feilding power station, which has been idle ever since the Manawatu-Oroua Power Board took it over three years ago, was brought, into operation again this morning, and to-day was generating 150 k.w. The energy developed is being supplied to local users, and in this respect it is considered that it will probably he able to cope with the demand from Feilding. The whole of the station has been recommissioned.
