Inland Otago has suffered some unusual extrejnes of weather conditions in the past few months, and lately matters have not improved very much (repmts the "Times”). Tapanui, Kelso, and Crookston districts, usually blessed with moderate conditions, suffered first front n wet season, and then from unusually dry conditions, 'i his week, when rain threatened, there wore many farmers who would have welcomed a few days downpour. In Central Otago, and in the Lake County, ftock is feeling the ninch, but crops nro in good heart. In the Clutha farmers are not dissatisfied to any extent. Coastal Otago has fared much better, and Loth stock and crops are doing well, though the latter are Ip-1.10 loin
