STEERING GEAR FAILS
LORRY DRIVER INJURED. Bv Telsikaph.— Press association Whangarei, December 9. Alfred Alexander (aged 22), of Pakotai, was driving a motor-lorry when the steering gear locked and the vehicle fell 12ft. over a bank. Alexander was taken to the Whangarei Hospital, where it was found that the upper jaw and both nasal bones had been broken.
