CHRISTMAS TOURISTS

HEAVY BOOKINGS IN SOUTH. Dominion Special. Dunedin, December 9. The Christmas rush to various holiday resorts has set in much earlier than usual, and the local Government Tourist Office has been experiencing a very busytime over the last week. All the southern lakes will be largely patronised, and indications point to there being a large exodus to Auckland and Rotorua. The Milford Track has attracted many Dunedin visitors, and Queenstown will be very full, it being almost impossible to get even private rooms there. Stewart Island is very heavily booked, accommodation there being at a premium.
