Following a domestic quarrel, William Wood, aged 42, shot his wife dead with a revolver in the street at Woolloomootoo, New South Wales, and then committed suicide with the same weapon. It appears that the couple were living apart, and Wood visited the house, where his wife was living. A quarrel ensued. Wood drew a revolver, and the terrified woman rushed into the street, where her husband shot her in the back of the head, lhe tragedy was witnessed by a number of people.
