POET NICHOLSON LADIES’ CLUB. Tlie annual social evening and presentation of prizes of the Port Ncliolson Ladies’ Rifle Club took place at the Harbour Board range on Thursday, when office bearers and friends of members of the club were entertained by the ladies. Apologies for absence were received from President A. G. Barnett and Vice-President G. Mitchell. Progressive euchre was played during the early part of the evening, the prize-winners being Miss Gordon and Mr. T. McGill. The presentation of trophies won during the season then took place, VicePresident E. D. Alexander making the presentation to the following:—Club champion. Miss L. Harper; Patron IL E.
