ELECTRIC LIGHT MEETING. Very good entries have been received for the electric light sports meeting to lie held at tire Basin Reserve to-night, at 745 p.m. Electric light meetings are an innovation in Wellington, and a B r '’‘ l ■ deal of interest is being taken in the meeting by all followers of the sport. The cycling races, however, will probably be the star attraction. This branch of the sport is booming, especially in view of the early visit to New Zealand el Lamb lliolder of numerous world s records) The 440 yards cycle scratch race should he especially interesting. It will he decided in heats -three men in each heat-and the riders will include Flett Carswell Scarfe. and Bright. The lights have been tested, nnd have proved very satisfactory, and a very pleasant night’s sport may be expected.
