Mosley, S.M., to-day, to having, on different occasions, between October 30 and November 30. stolen cigarettes and sums of money totalling £'l3 35., the property of the Christchurch Tramways Social Club. He was remanded till Friday next for a report from tile probation officer. Accused asked for bail. . . Chief-Detective Gibson: Really this is breaking and entering. He stole each time. Elliott might be better for a few days on remand. It does than a world of good if there is anv decency in them, nnd they don’t want any more. "Just as a matter of form.” said the Magistrate. “I will fix bail, but I hope he does not. get it. I’ll fix it «t a substantial sum. It would bo better for von. lad. to ,be in gaol, where the probation officer can see you.” . Bail was accordingly allowed in accused’s own recognisance of £lOO and one surety of '£loo.
