MOTORIST COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. By Telegeaph.—Press Association. Palmerston North, December 4. At the Magistrate’s Court at Woodville yesterday, before Messrs. H. Galbraith and G. J. Goldfinch, J.P.’s, John Drummond, of Dannevirke, was charged with negligently driving a motor-car, thereby causing the death oi George Vinton. The charge was the sequel to an accident on the main road near Woodville recently, when accused’s car knocked down Vinton, a Flock House boy, who subsequently died from injuries. The accused was committed for trial at the next session of the Palmerston North Supreme Court, bail being allowed in surety of self at £lOO, and a surety of a similar amount.
