ELECTRIC LIGHT MEETING. On Wednesday night, December 8, the public will be treated to something new in the way of athletics when the Wellington Centre N.Z.A.A A will conduct its first electric light meeting on. the Basin Reserve, commencing at 7.45. Electric light meetings have been held for some time past in Christchurch and other parts, and - have proved wonderfully successful. Wednesday night will witness Wellington’s initial effort. The Basin Reserve has been specially fitted up with powerful flood lights to give the spectators a perfect view of the whole ground. A full programme of events will be put through, including running and field events, walks, ladies’ races, boys’ races, cycle races, relay races, etc., and patrons are promised a very enjovable evening.
