STOLE FROM EMPLOYER
UNDERWEAR FOR HEB RELATIONS. In the Magistrate's Court yesterday, before Mr. E. Page, S.M.. a married woman. aged 30. was charged with stealing on November 11, a pair of silk stockings and a princess underskirt, and on November 13 three pairs of ladies' fuji silk knickers and three vests, the goods being the property of Eleanor May Cox, with whom accused was employed. . Ohiof-Detective Ward stated that accused bad other articles in her possession on the day she was interviewed. Shewas sending the goods to relations in the country. Mr. M. Lu'ckie, far accused, submitted it was a case for lenient treatment, and asked for suppression of the name. Mr. P:'«e *aid it was not in his power to order suppression, as the Act limited 1 such power to one charge. He convicted accused and ordered her to come up. for sentence when called upon within the twelve months. She was also ordered to pay 155., the cost of one article which was not saleable when all had been recovered.
