SHARKS CAUGHT AT AUCKLAND

TWO ' LANDED WITHIN THIRTY MINUTES. Dominion Special. Auckland, December 2. The catching of sharks in the harbour is not uncommon nowadays, but an unusual experience befel Mr. S. A. Tilly this afternoon, when he caught two large specimens within half an hour while fishing from the end of the I'onsonbv Wharf. Mr Tilly actually hooked'three sharks, but one escaped. Those captured were a male and a female. Tbe larger, which was of the grev nurse variety, was Oft. in length 'and 4ft. Oin. in girth. It weighed 4001 b. The other shark was fifl. Oin. in length, but was considerably smaller in girth than its companion. The fish were landed after being played for about fifteen minutes each.
