THE MAGISTRACY

TRANSFERS AND CHANGES

The Minister of Justice (Hon. F. J. Rolieston) announced yesterday that the following Magisterial changes have been made as from, to-day:— . • Mr. J. 11. Salmon,. .S.AI., .is transferred from the Thames district to Wellington city as third Magistrate. He also is to take the sittings at Otaki and Levin hitherto taken by the Magistrate at Palnierilmi Not 111, Mr. F. W. Platt, S.M., is transferred from the Te Kuiti district to the Thames district, taking in addition the courts at Kawfaia and Raglan. Mr. J. W. Poyutou, S.M., will in future take the country courts from Pukekohe to Waipu, with such assistance as is necessary from the three Auckland city Magistrates. Mr. R. M. Watson, S.M., is to take the courts on the Main Trunk line from Hunterville to Otorohanga, both inclusive.

Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in addition to his present Palmerston North circuit, is to take (he courts at Feilding, Bulls, and Marton, and is relieved of the courts at Otaki and Levin.

Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., in addition to the present Hamilton circuit, is to take the court at Te A-wamufu.
