RESUMPTION OF WORK BY MINERS IN MOST DISTRICTS SOME BALLOTS NOT COMPLETED By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. > (Rec. November 29, 5.5 p.m.) London, November 28. Work will be resumed in practically the entire coalfields on Monday, with the exception of South Wales, Yorkshire and Durham. In the two last-named ballots are in progress on a recommendation that the owners’ terms be ’accepted. South Wales is expected to take a ballot in a day or two. In a speech at South Yorkshire Mr. A. J. Cook said he refused to call it a defeat. It was a retreat. They would set about the task of recovering the ground.
