EXCURSION TO WAITOMA
Dominion Special. Auckland, November 29. Over 250 passengers left Auckland for Waitomo yesterday morning ep the first of a series of special excursion trains which the Railway Department propose running during the summer. Although the train arrived in Auckland last evening 43 minutes later than schedule time, the trip can be regarded as a success. The motor-bus service from Maugafiki to the caves accommodated all the passengers, who, favoured by f’ne weather, spent a most Enjoyable day. The delay on the return journey was due to engine trouble.
