. INTER-CLUB COMPETITION. The first series in the senior grade of the inter-club competition will commence at 1 p.m. to-day on tlie association courts at Miramar. Clubs will be represented by players as follow, but they are not necessarily shown in order of position, and in some cases are subject to alteration: — Brougham Hill.—Men: L. France, D. France, J. Acres’ “Championship” Tennis Balls have been used at every Davis Cup match played in Australasia. In American official matches British Balls are not used. Ayres’ “C.S.” stifehiess and plugless balls are ideal for hard court play.—Advt.
