FIREMEN DECORATED
At the annual social of the Petone Fire Brigade, held tn the station hall last Wednesday, Mr. James Kerr, chairman of the board, who presided, made the following presentations:— Ex-Fireman Rose, gold bar, 31 years’ service; silver bars, Foreman Seiwood, 23 years; Fireman 11. Shardlow, 23 years; Fireman May, 19 years; Foreman O. Silbery, 15 years; deputy-Sup-erintendent Whitiker, 13 years; Fireman Williams, 13 years; Firemen Martin and Burrows, 9 years. The Phare Cup and gold medal were won by Fireman L. Martin; the Collett Cup, won by Foreman O. Silbery; Fluker’s Cup, won by Fireman E. Brown.
