NEW ZEALAND’S BEAUTIES

BASK IN SUNSHINE OF AUCKLAND’S POPULARITY STILL THE CENTRE OF ATTRACTION - Dominion Special. Auckland, November 21. Another grand reception was accorded “Miss New Zealand,” her maid-of-honour (Miss Isobel Wilson), and the other finalists at the Majestic Theatre this evening, when a packed house greeted them. The girls continue to have a good time and bask in the light of public popularity. “Miss Now Zealand” and Miss W'ilson are still being showered with messages of congratulations, “Miss New Zealand” receiving hundreds of telegrams from Dunedin, and Miss Wilson from friends in Wellington. Both went on a further shopping expedition to-day. and received more gifts from various firms. The interest of the public in all the finalists is unabated, and they are still the centre of attraction wherever they appear in the streets. Large numbers of wool buyers, including Frenchmen and other Continental people, arrived at the Hotel Cargen, where the girls are staying, to-day,, and the foreigners passed many remarks about the beauty of not only “Miss New Zealand” and her tnaid-of-iionour, but of “Miss Wel- * lington,” “Miss Auckland,” and the others. The girls are all sorry that “Miss Canterbury” and Miss Mann have left, but hop'e that the happy family will all be together again one day very soon. “
