McGrath, when. the. matter of uniforms lor ’ the porters was under discussion (says an exchange). e speaker raised a general laugh by stating that he had often mistaken the porters for doctors under present conditions. After Mr. H. Hill had strong Iv urged that uniforms should be provided for the permanent porters, was decided that the matter be kept in view. _ The Waiho traffic bridge in South Westland is likely to be mx® wheeled traffic next month.
