KING WELCOMES OPENING St Tclegbaph.--Press association. Auckland, November 23. The Governor-General has received for publication the following message from His Majesty the King;—“l have learnt, with much interest, that the ndw cable across the Pacific is open to-day. I welcome Hits addition to the facilities for rapid communication, which are so essential, not only for the advancement of material prosperity of my peoples, but also for Hie promotion of mutual good understanding between them.”
