At a price in tlie vicinity of £-15,000, "Dowden,’’ a property of about 2000 acres on Mount Herbert, has been sold as a going concern by the estate of the late Mr D. Wilson, 'i'he purchaser is Mr William Gray. At the present time there is a marked demand for grazing properties, although business is restricted by the values placed by owners. Several well-known sheep stations await the consent of the Canterbury Land Board before changing hands.
