DEAD BABY FOUND IN YARD
Dominion Special. Auckland, November 20. The dead body of a female child was found yesterday afternoon m the back yard of a house at Newmarket. rue body was found by a doctor who had been summoned to attend the mother a single woman of 28 years of age. bhe stated that the child did not breathe, and that she put it in the yard. The doctor stated that the head and neck of the child’s body were slightly discoloured, but, that there were no marks of physical injury. An inquest was opened this morning, and after the evidence of the doctor and constable had been taken, was adjourned sine die.
