As soon as the collision occurred the train was pulled up and assistance was rendered with all possible speed.
The sailors, who were unconscious and bleeding profusely,' were immediately removed to the camp, where the surgeon of H.M.S. Dunedin attended to them. As they w’ere both in a serious condition, the Trentham Ambulance brought them with all possible haste to the Hospital, where they were admitted at 7.50 p.m. It was reported late last night, that Hastie was in a very serious condition. Church, however, is not in danger.
