SUPPORTED BY GERMAN REPUBLICANS
“FRANCE’S WAR SPIRIT UNCHECKED"
(Rec. November 10, 7.15 p.'m.) London, November 18.
The “Times” Cologne correspondent reports that M. Briand’s and Dr. Stresemaun’s desire for an enduring peace is supported by German Republicans, according to Herr Wirth, a former Chancellor. “But,” he added, "storm clouds are gathering. Trifles aie delaying the work begun by the Thoiry conversations, owing to the French Government’s irreconcilability and the newspapers magnifying of insignicant disarmament details., France’s war spirit is still unchecked, but the Germans are resolved that no blame shall attach to the Fatherland i«r any future war.”-—“The Times.”
