Mr. and Mrs. W. Cave, of Gisborne, are on a visit to Wanganui. Mrs. O. Meyrick is a visitor to Feilding, and is staving with her mother, Mrs N Gorton. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Gahagan, of Svdnev, are on a visit to Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. Bill, of Marton, were visitors to Palmerston North this " Mr.’ and. Mrs. E. R. White, of Hawke’s Bay, are on a visit to Wan-

ganui. . Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Gaisford, of Oringi, have returned from a holiday in Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. N. W. Rowe, of Wellington, are on a visit to Wanganui. Ou Wednesday evening, November 10, Mr. and Mrs. Bowler, of Buckley Road, Shannon, were met by between 50 and 60 guests at their residence, the occasion being their silver wedding, tliev being married in the old St. Mathia’s Church, Makara, in 1901 bv the late Rev. Dasent. After tea had been served a most enjoyable evening was spent in dancing, games, and competitions until the early hours of the morning. The wedding cake was cut by Mrs. Bowler, and the health of both was drunk by the guests with happv speeches, which wished Mr. apd Mrs 'Bowler much happiness and prosperity in the future. Mr. Bowler responded in a neat little speech Among those present were Mrs. Bowler s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Eagle, of Karori, Wellington, who came up for the occasion. The presents were numerous and useful.
