TENNIS AT KARITANE HOME

0 DUCHESS OF YORK TO OPEN NEW COURT. A remarkable tennis court has been provided by Sir Truby King for the use of nurses at the karitane Hospital now being built at Melrose. It will be a grass court when finished and is built absolutely on the side of- a hill with a 50ft. reinforced concrete retaining wall to support it. The view straight out to the Heads is remarkably fine, and the wind is broken by a stnall-mesh wire enclosure. The court will be opened bv Her Royal Highness the Duchess of York, who will play the first ball when she visits Wellington in March.
