HOSPITAL PATIENT ESCAPES.

Dominion Special.

Christchurch, November 19. Paul Linklater, a man aged 36, escaped from the Christchurch Hospital at 3 a.m. yesterday, and has not been seen since. Linklater was admitted From Kaiapoi at 1.30 a.m. the previous day suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the chest, which was not serious, and he escaped from the ward to which he had been admitted. He was dressed in a white hospital gown. He was not normal, and fears for his safety’ are entertained.
