PARLIAMENTARY BUILDINGS
PROGRESS OF THE RENOVATION Work in connection with the renovation of the old wing of the Parliamentary Buildings is proceeding satisfactorily. The first application of paint has been practically completed, but the real effect will be gained when the second coat goes on. as a colour will be selected which will synchronise with the marble of the nefv section. A proposal to remove the tower over the Bowen Street entrance was discussed, but was abandoned. Necessary alterations arc being made t Bellamy's, and good progress has been made with the re-roofing it was decided to' carry out. It will be some time yet. however, before the workmen leave the premises.
