“RIDDLED BY BORER”
4 TIMBER FROM AMERICA. By Tb iEGRaph.-Press association. Auckland, November 18. The statement that American cedar timber was being admitted to New Zealand riddled by the borer insect, and otherwise of inferior quality, was made by Mr. F. E. N. Gaudin at a meeting of the Takapuna Borough Council last evening. The council passed a resolution directing that a by-law should be framed .prohibiting the use of cedar and Oregon pine timber. in Takapuna buildings.
