Mr A H Clerk presided at the monthly meeting of the Island Bay Electors Association last night. . , ■Replying to the association s resolution that immediate and definite action was necessary to remove .the cause of house hold drains overflowing on the larane frontages between Mersey and H«®be r Streets, and also in Derwent Street, bounded also by Mersey Streets, the town clerk wrote stating that the matter had been referred to the waterworks and drainage engineer for rG Th? matter of fish being landed on the heaoh was discussed at ength. The secretary (Mr. Jackman) said that it was time the residents were called together to discuss the matter. This would give the association a backing He moved that a meeting of residents he called. I know the answer of the public will he for no fish landing on the beach, he added. His motion was lost by a large majority
