PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY

CONCLUDING SESSION. • The Presbyterian General Assembly held its final meeting in St. John’s Church vesterdav, the Moderator, the Rieht Rev. G. H. McNeur, presiding. References were made to the ministers who had died during the venr—the Revs. R. Francis, A. W. Kinmoiit, C. McDonald, G. McDonald. J. Paterson, J. W. Shannon, and \V. Watt-rand sympathetic resolutions regarding. their careers were place 1 on record. Rcplving to a vote of thanks for ms able address at the opening of the Assembly, and for his services in the chair the Moderator said he had been very milch moved by the kindness of the Assembly. He had enjoyed the bonour conferred on him, and also appreciated the educative value of the deliberations, seeing he had been so long out of touch with the general work of the Church owing to service, .in the Chinese mission field- He ..thanked them for their patience under the. circumstances, which had enabled him to finish the session without once lapsing into that langiiage be had used very much more than English during the last 20 odd years. (Applause.) . Votes of thanks were accorded the office-bearers and al! who had assisted in the work of the Assembly, which then closed.
