CLOSED TO DOMINION SUBJECTS /_ PROFESSIONS IN BRITAIN OVERCROWDED Bi Telegraph,—Press association. COFTBIGHT. Sydney, November 16. Mr. F. W. Platts, a New’ Zealand Stipendiary Magistrate, has arrived in Svdney by the steamer Ville de Verdun from Europe, Mr. Platts investigated the possibility of Dominion subjects entering the Diplomatic Service and other professions in view of the changed status of the Dominions, r He said that the Diplomatic Service was closed to the Dominions, and access to the London Civil Service was about as difficult. It was easier to enter the Army or the Navy. He found the professions in Britain overcrowded, and the'sons of professional men were now often looking to the Dominions for a livelihood.
