The secretary of the local centre of the Zenana Bible and Medical Mission, Mr. F. Shaw, of Caroline Street, has received the following letter from the Rev. 1. Carter. Th.D., and Mrs Carter, secretary of the ..parent mission in London, who recently visited New Zealand:—"On the eve of leaving your beautiful Dominion, we desire to express our very deep sense of gratitude to you and to all those colleagues in God’s work who have made our stay so pleasant. You received us with a warmth of welcome which will make New Zealand homes live for ever in our memory, and your co-operation m missionary service in India made an arduous .task seem light. In .the period from August 2 to October 14 we travelled over 2000 miles and filled-more than 116 engagements. The' .work was made smooth by the goodness of God. and the fellowship of his people. We are greatly indebted to our capable and devoted colleague, Miss Dannefaerd. to the Auckland executive, and to the committees in the various centres. We are greatly rejoiced to know that the executive is willing to face the entire financial and other responsibilities of the station at Jaunpur, and are looking to all friends of the Zenann Bible and Medical Alls sion to aid them in the big ta c k We feel certain that the prayers and efforts of faith will be successful, fn bidding farewell to colleagues whose kindness has been so striking we feel a certain sadness. ‘Till we meet again’ has more than a passing significance, and we say ‘Au revoir’ in the confident assurance that by llis Grace we shall bo friends in the Eternal Homeland and learn the joy of the united family in God.”
