DEATH DURING SLEEP

VICTIM OF CAR ACCIDENT. By Telegraph.—Press association Hastings, November 16. David Keefe, a Maori of Omabu, was found dead on the Tunanui Road this morning. It appears that deceased and two other Maoris left last night by motor-car to go shearing, when the car ran ever a bank. Keefe, who was thrown out, made no complaint about injuries, and the party slept beside the cur. Waking in the morning they found Keefe dead. It is thought that the deceased suffered a fracture to the base of the skull.
