BOYS’ institute

The monthly meeting of the Boys Institute Management Committee was held on Monday, when the folio,ring members were present:—Mr. J. Hislop (in the chair). Mrs. G T. Bell, Messrs. G. E Brown, H. Leah, D. J. Dalglish, and the direct. • The director’s report stated that for October the attendance at the tepid baths numbered 1811 persons. The library attendance has been, very good during the month, over 100 books being in circulation. The Swimming Club has a large membership. A carnival is to be held on November 20, when members of the crew of H.M.b. Dunedin and H.M.S. Diomede will enter for a number of events. A representative polo match between AVellington and members of the crew oi H.M.b. Diomede will also take place. The annual prize-giving will take place early next month.
