SHOOTING OF AIRMAN ELLIOTT
ARAB CONVICTED OF MANSLAUGHTER. (Rec. November 16, 7.40 p.m.) Bagdad, November 15. The Arab Najin Ibin Zewaini, w’ho shot the airman Elliott, was found guiltv of manslaughter and sentenced to five years' rigorous imprisonment. [Elliott was Captain Cobham’s mechanic at the commencement of the flight to Australia, and was shot while the aeroplane was flying over Iraq.]
