MRS. PANKHURST
.— DECIDES TO JOIN THE CONSERVATIVES ENGLAND THREATENED BY REVOLUTION London, November 15. Mrs. Pankhurst has joined the Conservatives. She announced her decision at a luncheon of a workers committee of ladies at the Carlton Club, where Mrs. Baldwin was the guest of honour. Careful thought had convinced her, She said, that what little influence she possessed, chiefly among women, must be thrown on the side of the Conservatives, even if through long tradition some of the things they, adhered to she could not fully accept. She believed there were only two parties in the country—a Constitutional and a revolutionary. If they could get 8,000,000 women's votes the situation might be saved. That revoIntionarv violence threatened England was proved by the . alarming results at the recent municipal elections.
