BOY DROWNED IN CREEK

BODY FOUND BY FATHER. Dominion Special. Auckland, November 15. Edward Clemente Nevill, the seven year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Nevill, of Northcote was drowned in the Onepqto stream, Shoal Bay, on Saturday. He apparently fell off the bridge at the mouth of the creek while fishing, a fishing line given him in the morning being found there by his brother George, when a search was made about noon His mother continued the search during the afternoon and_ his father, immediately, after arrival home, also joined in the search. He saw the body about twenty yards up the creek from the bridge, and it was recovered about 5 o’clock. An examination was made by Dr. Dudding, who pronounced life extinct. An inquest was held at Northcote by the Coroner, who found that death was due to drowning, but there was no evidence to show how deceased got into the water.
