GISBORNE HARBOUR WORKS
IMPORTANT OPERATION COMPLETED. Br Telegraph.—Press association Gisborne, November 13. To-day marked au important stage in the harbour operations. The dredging of the diversion cut has reached the high water-mark on the Waikanae beach, and it is expected that in a few months the river will be diverted and the work started on the development of the new inner harbour. The hulk Monowai is expected to leave I’ort Chalmers next week, and she will be used as a breakwater at Whareongaonga, where the board is obtaining stone supplies.
