AORANGI’S SMART TRIP
AUCKLAND TO SYDNEY IN THREE DAYS . Dominion Special. Auckland, November 13. Au exceptionally smart trip between Auckland and Sydney of three days and three hours was made by the Union Company’s motor-ship Aorangi, which reached Sydney yesterday after noon. This time is one of the Aorangi’s best performances since she entered the Vancouver mail service early last year. Having landed passengers, mail, and cargo, and embarked a number of passengers for Sydney, the Aorangi left Auckland in continuation of her voyage from Vancouve* at twenty minutes past one on Tuesday afternoon last. A cablegram received at Auckland states that the motor-ship entered Sydney. Heads at 4.30 yesterday afternoon. She . thus covered the distance from port to port in three days, three hours, and ten minutes.
