SCOW BLOWN ASHORE
, DAMAGE NOT KNOWN. By tE 'EGBaph.—Press Association. Auckland, November 14. During the boisterous westerly weather on Saturday the Northern Company’s auxiliary scow Polio dragged her anchors at Kiritea near Coromandel and drifted ashore. At the time of the accident the Pono was loading wool from the beach by means of boats. This morning Captain Hammond, manager of the Northern Company left Auckland in the steamer Gael with men and tackle to refloat the stranded vessel- The extent of the damage to the Pono is not reported.
