The excellent keeping quality of Otago apples was demonstrated by. a sample of the Stunner variety which Mr. 11. Turner (secretary: of the Otago Provincial Fruitgrowers’ Association) brought into the “Otago Daily Times” office. The apples .were shipped to London bv the Mnliia in May last, and were purchased as ship’s stores for the Tamaroa prior to her departure for the Dominion. Despite the fact that thev have been . carried round the world, the apples are still in excellent condition, and were being used on board the vessel at the time of her departure from Port Chalmers.
