EXCURSIONS TO PELORUS SOUND

Now, however. its beauties and those the neighbouring Queen Charlotte Sound mav he viewed in a most pleasant fashion by means of the week-end excursions which the Tamahine will re-
siiine for the season on Saturday, December 11. The programme is, briefly, to leave Wellington at 1.15 p.m., arriving at Picton, after the snort run of only 1} hours in open water, at about 4.31) p.m. During the evening a dance will be held on the promenade deck, and the vessel will leave I’ieton wharf early next morning in time to arrive before breakfast nt Tennyson Inlet, the most beautiful part of Pelorus So'und, where magnificent bush clothes the hills from ton to bottom. Here thp morning will be spent in diversions suitable to the surroundings, such ns fishing, bathing, boating, picnicking and exploring the bentiful bays in the neighbourhood. Return will be made to Picton in the afternoon and Wellington will be reached a little after 9 o'clock in the evening. During the Christinas week-end no excursion will be run. The one commencing on New Year’s Dav will give more time than usual in tlie Sounds, the vessel leaving for that purpose early in the morning instead of after lunch.
