o NEW PREMISES' OPENED. . Dominion Special. ' Auckland, November 12'. IVith abundant faith in the generosity of the citizens of Auckland, wno will be appealed to for the sum of i(>4so, with which to pay expenses in connection with the establishment of the institution, ' the local branch of the Plunket Society opened this afternoon permanent headquarters in Symonds Street, in a commodious two-storied residence, notable as a replica of a French chateau which stands on the shore of the Mediterranean Sen. His Excellency Lady Alice Fergusson performed the opening ceremony, and the Minister of Health (Hon. J. A. Youne) and a large number of - prominent pconlo of the city were present. The official opening of these new quarters constituted a red letter dav in the hisforv of the Plunket Societv’s work. The president of (he Auckland branch. Mrs. W. W, Parkes, who rresided. stressed this fact in opening her address.
