Park Christchurch, cakes Mrs. Thompson, 2 dozen eggs Mrs. Barlej-, jam Mrs. Forgie, 2J dozen oranges Mrs. Sharp, concert invitation St. Paul’s Rovers, frocks Mrs. Fossette, clothes Mrs. Patton, seed potatoes Mr. Rollv, pictures and invitation Mr. Tartakover, shoes stockings and juniper Miss Reeyes, 3 dozen oranges Mrs. Taylor, fireworks and garden roller Mr. .Brewin, plants Mrs. Phillips.

The monthly meeting of the Foxton District High School Committee was held last week, presided, over by Mr. F. Woods (chairman). The chairman stated that the Native owners of the section adjoining Ihakara Garden and the school grounds had signed a transfer of the section to the Education Board as a site upon which to erect the building to accommodate the secondary classes. Mr. Perreau was accorded a vote of thanks for obtaining the signatures to the transfer, and Mr. Hornblow was instructed to forward it to the board and to urge the immediate construction of the building. The visitors (Messrs. Hutchins and Hornblow) recommended concreting a portion of the girls’ playing ground; placing wire-net-ting along the tennis court, and removing portion of the fence separating the boys’ and the girls' playgrounds and replacing it with manuka trellis fence, the same to be planted with climbing roses. The recommendations were left in the hands of the chairman and Mr. Hutchins, with power lo act. Accounts amounting to £53 75.. 7d. were passed for payment. Visitors appointed for the month v/eie Messrs. Roore ar'l btevenson.
