SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
The many recalls at Mr. A. Edmunds’s popular concert for seafarers at the Sailors’ Friend Society on Thursday tes tified to the happiness of the guests. The performers were Mesdames J. Paterson, Alfred Fortune, Ironside, Clark. Nelson the Misses I. Stanton. Rastall. Freeman Bussell, and Messrs. A. Edmunds, Parsloe Ewan. Clark, Darbyshire. Sinun, Mesdames Fortuno and Nelson ami Miss Russell were at the piano. The compete tions added to the enjoyment of the evening. The prizes came from Miss Sawyer and Messrs. Scales and Edmunds, and wont to the Tamaroa, and men from ships in P ort ’
