FOUND ON THE BEACH

INQUEST ON BABY’S BODY. Mr. AV. G. Riddell presided at the inquest yesterday on the body of a baby that, was found on the beach at Kilbirnie on Tuesday morning. Detective A). McLennan gave evidence of being called to the.ease, and seeing the body. There were no marks of violence on it, though it was in a decomposed state. It had apparently been washed up on the beach by the tide. Dr. Philip Patrick Lynch gave evidence of examining the body. It was that of a still-born female child. The Coroner said the only verdict, could be that the body ot a female child was found on the beach at Seatoun Road near Miramar AA hart, there being no evidence to show now it came to be there.
