CYCLISTS AND BOXERS AFFECTED Dominion Special. z Christchurch, November 11. The strike germ manifested itself in yet another branch of sport last night. Recently the cyclists engaged at a sports, meeting. at the English Park Stadium struck at the eleventh hour for better conditions, but later capitulated. At last night’s boxing contest between .Harry Casey and Dick Elmour the, majority of the amateurs engaged for' the - preliminaries went on strike for .'better conditions, but the boys from one school' filled- the breach The cyclists are to be dealt'with by the local centre,' but there is ’ rib indication yet of any action by the Christchurch Sports Club in regard to the boxers who went on strike?
